    About Eleanor

Eleanor has dedicated her adult life to helping students achieve their goals. After graduating from Chicago’s top public magnet high school, Whitney Young, as a National Merit Finalist and with perfect scores in seven Advanced Placement courses, she attended Oberlin College on the prestigious John F. Oberlin Scholarship. She received her initial training as a tutor after being selected to work in the Writing Associates Program at Oberlin, where she tutored college students of all years and majors and served as Teaching Assistant for the First-Year Seminar Program. It was here that she discovered her love for and commitment to one-on-one education, which allows her to shape the learning experience precisely to her students’ needs. Eleanor has been tutoring in some capacity ever since.

Eleanor has additionally taught in classrooms as Lead Academic Coach with the A PLUS Youth Program in Seattle and as an extended learning day teacher with Citizen Schools Illinois in Chicago. Before joining ArborBridge, she tutored students for three years in ACT, SAT, PSAT, TOEFL, SAT Subject Tests, and general academics, both online and through various organizations and schools in Chicago. Her students have won nationally competitive fellowships and been accepted to some of the nation’s top colleges and universities.
