About
Claire graduated from Stanford University with honors, earning a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Psychology. During her time on campus, she was deeply involved in service: she volunteered as a tutor in under-resourced schools, led a youth literacy program, and served as a peer mentor in Stanford’s Neurodiverse Student Support Program.
Claire completed the IB Diploma in high school, earning three 7s on her IB exams and a 5 in her AP course. She received her school’s Balanced Student award and a community service award. On the ACT, Claire scored a 34 composite (35 English and Reading; 34 Science).
As a tutor, Claire collaborates with students to create individualized plans with clear timelines and achievable goals. She focuses on teaching reliable strategies for approaching ACT/SAT content and especially enjoys building students’ confidence by having them talk through their process on challenging math problems. With her multidisciplinary background, Claire brings in real-world examples to keep material engaging and relevant. Students describe her as calm, approachable, and subtly funny—someone who helps them feel at ease while learning.
