David

David earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Boston University and went on to complete a Master’s of Public Health at George Washington University while working full-time in scientific roles, including pharmaceutical process development and manufacturing. His professional experience, which demanded a high level of precision and attention to detail, directly informs his approach to tutoring standardized tests.

While working in these roles, David discovered a passion for teaching as he trained colleagues in research methods and technical processes. Drawn to the challenge of adapting his communication style to different learners, he transitioned into tutoring and now specializes in all sections of the SAT and ACT.

David creates a learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and engaging with challenging material. He emphasizes patience, approachability, and helping students connect academic concepts to their own experiences. His students have achieved meaningful score gains across all sections of the exams, and he has helped even hesitant test-takers build the confidence to tackle areas like the ACT Science section.

Outside of tutoring, David enjoys playing guitar, teaching himself Spanish, and continuing to challenge himself as a runner.
