Isabelle Li Halsey is a Harvard graduate who specializes in French, English, and essay writing. She has worked extensively with individual students and brings additional classroom experience from teaching middle schoolers in New York City and high schoolers in Taipei, Taiwan. Born in Boston and raised largely abroad, Isabelle spent five years in Avignon, France and one year in Taipei before returning to the U.S. to attend the Loomis Chaffee School. There, she earned perfect scores on the AP Calculus BC, AP English Language, AP French, and SAT French exams.

Isabelle graduated cum laude and with highest departmental honors from Harvard College, where she studied History and Science on the History of Medicine track. She was awarded the Williams–Lodge Scholarship, which funded a year of graduate-level humanities study in Paris, and received second place for the Rothschild Prize for Best Senior Thesis as Essay.

She is currently pursuing a career in medicine and earned a 520 (97th percentile) on the Medical College Admissions Test. As a tutor, Isabelle is known for her patient, easy-going style and organized, engaging lessons. Outside of tutoring, she enjoys studying art history, training for long-distance races, and reading fiction.
