Jason E.
About
Jason graduated magna cum laude from Yale University with a degree in Humanities. Since graduating, he has tutored students in math and SAT/ACT prep. Jason has also taught for private schools in San Francisco and Beijing, teaching classes in English, math, science, and social sciences.
In high school, Jason graduated 2nd in his class of over 300 students and was both a National Merit Finalist and an AP Scholar with Distinction, earning scores of 5 in AP Calculus BC, AP Chemistry, AP English Language, AP European History, AP US History, and AP Spanish Language. He scored a 2310 out of 2400 on the SAT, and he had perfect scores on the SAT Subject Tests in Math II, Chemistry, and US History.
As a tutor, Jason believes in the “Unifying Theory of 2+2.” Rather than 4, he prefers to give the students 2+2 and let them put together the answer. He likes to ask questions and aims to inspire genuine curiosity in his students wherever he can. Jason hopes that in addition to becoming better test-takers, the students who work with him will also grow into more confident and inquisitive learners.
