Justin

A graduate of Rice University with a B.A. in Biology (Ecology and Evolutionary Biology), Justin is an enthusiastic tutor who finds great joy in helping students learn and succeed.

During his time at Rice, Justin was involved in the community as a student researcher. His research on bird migration and window collisions contributed to the adoption of bird-friendly windows in Rice’s newest facilities.

Justin’s own academic achievements reflect his dedication to learning: as a high school student, he was a National Merit Finalist and AP Scholar with Distinction, earning 5s on eight AP exams, a perfect 36 on the ACT, and an 800 on the Math II SAT Subject Test.

As a tutor, Justin takes a flexible, student-centered approach, adapting his methods to meet each learner’s unique needs. Students appreciate the learning environment he creates—both relaxed and structured—while parents value his strong communication skills, which keep everyone aligned and moving forward. Having navigated challenges similar to his students’, Justin brings empathy and insight to his tutoring, helping students overcome obstacles and build lasting confidence.
