About

Misty is an experienced SAT/ACT tutor and educator with over a decade of experience. A first-generation college graduate from Massachusetts, she holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a Master of Education.

Misty taught high school math and biology for a combined eight years. She also led her school’s credit recovery program and served as a content and cohort leader, supporting curriculum development and instructional implementation. Her students consistently outperformed comparable cohorts on state standardized assessments, and her work was recognized through multiple Teacher of the Month and Teacher of the Year awards. Now, she is a Dean of Curriculum and Instruction, overseeing multiple departments, coaching and evaluating teachers, and leading professional development in literacy, analysis, and problem-solving skills.

As a tutor, Misty brings a calm, approachable presence to each session, using empathy, clear communication, and humor to help students feel confident asking questions and taking academic risks.
