Sai is a graduate of Duke University, where she completed dual majors in Public Policy and History. After finishing her bachelor’s degree, Sai moved to Washington, D.C. to work as a Program Director, leading SAT/ACT preparation programs for over 500 students over the course of three years.
As a high school student, Sai scored in the 99th percentile on all sections of the SAT and ACT, culminating in a 35 composite score on the ACT (including 36s in Science and English). In addition to graduating in the top 2% of her class, Sai was awarded the International Baccalaureate Diploma with scores of 6 out of 7 in higher level exams in English, Economics, and Biology and earned 5s on the AP US History and Psychology exams.
Sai’s passion for education was kindled as an undergraduate teaching assistant and furthered after she spent two summers working primarily with young women of color at community organizations in Brooklyn, NY and Flint, MI. A vivacious instructor, Sai’s relatability and amiability help her students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, which fosters an environment where they can challenge themselves. Sai’s students have achieved average SAT score improvements of 150 points in just two months, and she has helped multiple students gain 140 points in math alone.
Sai’s goal is not only to help students improve their scores, but also to boost their confidence. As one of a small, hand-selected team of ArborBridge Coaches, Sai empowers her students to achieve their goals through individualized work in executive functioning, test-taking foundations, and testing mindset strategies. She hopes that every student she works with comes out of their sessions with a more positive attitude towards learning and pride in what they’ve accomplished.
