An honors graduate of the University of Dayton, Sean has tutored STEM and world languages at the high school, college, and graduate levels. While completing his dual degree in Exercise Physiology and Biology, Sean was awarded multiple scholarships for excellence in the classroom and for his research, which focused on the genetic mechanisms behind the conversion of healthy neurons to those affected by Alzheimer’s Disease.
During his time as a tutor, Sean has helped over 200 students bolster their subject knowledge, while also training them in the valuable academic skills of organization, test prep, and personal accountability. He’s helped his students excel in the classroom; recently, he even helped a student raise their AP Biology grade from a D+ to an A in the span of just 2 months.
As a tutor, Sean seeks to motivate his students by creating a partnership between himself, his student, and their support network. His clients report that his empathetic approach, coupled with his knowledge of the material, make him a valuable partner in their students’ academic lives.
