Stephanie graduated cum laude from Cornell University, where she studied Nutritional Science on the premed track. While at Cornell, Stephanie was on the Dean’s List every semester, and she studied abroad in Sydney, Australia. She was chosen to be a Teaching Assistant for Principles of Biochemistry and Introduction to Psychology. Throughout college, she also tutored students in the SAT, ACT, and SHSAT. In this role, she enjoyed preparing review sessions, teaching concepts in depth, and—most of all—interacting with her students. Stephanie has since graduated, but she continues to tutor students in these exams and subjects, along with AP Biology, AP English Language, essay writing, and algebra.
While attending the prestigious Stuyvesant High School in New York City, Stephanie scored in the 99th percentile on the SAT. She was an AP Scholar, earning scores of 5 in AP English Language, AP US History, and AP Macroeconomics. And she was also a Questbridge National College Match Finalist and won the Quest for Excellence NYC Award.
As a first generation college student, Stephanie understands the value of education, and she knows how it can change the course of one’s life. She puts empathy and personalization at the forefront of every teaching and tutoring experience. She is an advocate for the growth mindset, which is the idea that one’s innate abilities are not fixed and can be improved through hard work and the help of others. As such, Stephanie believes that every student has the potential to achieve their academic and personal goals.
