Ethan

After earning a B.S. in Biology from Duke University, with minors in Psychology and Chemistry, Ethan built a strong interdisciplinary foundation that informs his approach to standardized test preparation. During his undergraduate career, he conducted research in Civil and Environmental Engineering and coauthored a paper on extracellular vesicle attachment efficiency. He later worked as a full-time researcher in the Mercer University School of Medicine Biomedical Sciences Laboratory before transitioning to tutoring.

Ethan now works as a dedicated test prep tutor, helping students develop both the technical skills and strategic approach needed for success on the SAT and ACT. His own academic achievements include a 1570 on the SAT and a 34 on the ACT, along with multiple scores of 5 on AP exams, including Calculus BC, Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Statistics, English Language, U.S. Government, and Human Geography. He was also recognized as a National AP Scholar, AP Scholar with Distinction, and QuestBridge Scholar.

As a tutor, Ethan has helped students achieve significant score improvements, including raising one student’s SAT Verbal score from 430 to 750 in just three months and consistently supporting gains of 200+ points on the SAT.

Ethan’s teaching style emphasizes structure, confidence-building, and active student engagement. He focuses on helping students recognize patterns, develop strong instincts, and approach exams with clarity and confidence.
