Ally
About
Ally is a dedicated STEM specialist and lifelong educator with extensive experience tutoring students in the SAT and ACT. She holds a double major in Physics and Astrophysics with a Mathematics minor from the College of Charleston, where she conducted undergraduate research that led to co-authorship on a publication in The Astrophysical Journal titled “Numerical Simulations of Optically Thick Accretion onto a Black Hole.” Ally was also awarded the competitive SURF research grant and fast-tracked her academic career by completing her junior and senior years of high school in a single year.
With a background that blends academic rigor and hands-on teaching, Ally brings both deep expertise and warmth to every session. She has served as a teaching assistant, STEM educator, and Astronomy Instructor aboard the historic USS Yorktown, building a reputation for making complex concepts accessible and engaging. Her students have gone on to achieve perfect scores on the SAT and ACT, and many have earned full academic scholarships to Ivy League universities.
Ally’s teaching philosophy centers on connection and customization. She takes time to understand each student’s unique learning style and tailors her instruction accordingly. Known for her dedication, Ally goes the extra mile to ensure students feel supported both academically and personally. Whether she’s breaking down challenging math problems or guiding students through standout college essays, she meets them with empathy, encouragement, and enthusiasm.
Outside of tutoring, Ally enjoys crocheting, assembling next-level charcuterie boards, and quoting 30 Rock with perfect comedic timing.
