About

Dave studied electrical engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, earning his bachelor’s and master’s degrees and publishing the associated research. After a few years as an engineer, Dave decided to use his skills more directly with people, and spent 6 years training engineers in the high tech industry, teaching classes, developing courses and curricula, and managing training programs. He then spent several years leading award-winning re-engineering projects for tech companies, and was named lead inventor on a patent for a process he re-engineered.

In the years since, he’s kept his teaching going with GMAT and GRE test prep classes, and achieved a perfect score on the GMAT Verbal section. At the same time, Dave is building a social impact non-profit focused on economic research and education, and has published research on working poverty, housing affordability, and the economics of competition.

Dave’s students value his approachability, clear explanations, and expert guidance as they build their skills. Dave has taught these tests for over a decade, and he shares with students an extensive array of tips and techniques for performing well in both the quantitative and verbal sections. Many of his students have been accepted at Ivy League programs, and produced significant increases in their scores. Dave really believes in each student’s potential to improve, and tries to make that contagious in our sessions.
