About

With two bachelor’s and one master’s degree covering studies across a range of sciences and humanities subjects, Elise has spent over 5,000 hours tutoring students in preparation for the SAT, ACT, PSAT, ISEE, SSAT, and AP exams.

As a high school student, Elise completed a college physics course as a 9th grader and a college chemistry course as a 10th grader. In addition, she achieved scores of 5 on the AP English Literature & Composition and AP U.S. Government & Politics exams, and she earned a score of 780 on the SAT Subject Test in Literature.

Since then, Elise has helped students achieve perfect scores in all sections of the SAT and ACT, and her students have attended Stanford, Yale, Johns Hopkins, Cornell, Oberlin, and Harvard Business School, to name a few. In addition to tutoring, Elise has experience in curriculum development and tutor trainings.

For the past three years, Elise has been ArborBridge’s top-performing tutor for the subjects of AP Biology, AP Government, and AP Psychology. Her ACT students achieve impressive results, too, improving their section scores by an average of 4 points in Math and Science, 5 points in Reading, and 6 points in English. Last year, 50% of Elise’s ACT students earned Math scores of 32 or higher, and 20% of Elise’s SAT students earned Math scores of 720 or higher, well outpacing average student performances nationwide.

A personalized approach and warm, friendly environment are central to Elise’s tutoring. She combines her knowledge of learning psychology and neuroscience with her vast experience tutoring students of all ages and abilities in order to design a unique curriculum for every student. As one of a small, hand-selected team of ArborBridge Coaches, Elise empowers her students to achieve their goals through individualized work in executive functioning, test-taking foundations, and testing mindset strategies. Elise’s students gain academic skills that serve them throughout their high school years and beyond.
