About

Emily earned her bachelor’s degree in English from Johns Hopkins University, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa with Honors. While at Hopkins, her literary research was selected as the spotlight article in the Hopkins Undergraduate Research Journal.

Emily graduated as valedictorian of her high school class. She earned a 99th percentile ACT score, and she achieved scores of 5 on the AP Literature, AP US History, and AP Calculus tests. She was the captain of the speech team, president of the choir, vice president of the student body, secretary of the National Honor Society chapter, and secretary of the drama club.

As one of a small, hand-selected team of ArborBridge Coaches, Emily empowers her students to achieve their goals through individualized work in executive functioning, test-taking foundations, and testing mindset strategies. Emily’s students describe her sessions as engaging, informative, and utterly fun. She greatly values creating genuine personal connections with her students. They bond over a multitude of subjects, be it niche TikTok trends, K-pop groups, or the latest HBO show. Emily’s students also describe her sessions as uplifting and encouraging. One parent has described Emily’s sessions as “life-changing,” since his daughter developed much higher self-esteem from their weekly SAT sessions.

Although she’s originally from Ohio, Emily now lives in New York, NY. When she’s not teaching, she loves trying new recipes, going to museums, and watching anything on TV (from Severance to Survivor!).
