James S.

James Sanguinetti is a dedicated educator and experienced tutor who has helped hundreds of students strengthen their skills, build confidence, and achieve outstanding scores on the SAT and ACT. Many of his students have gone on to attend highly selective colleges and universities.

Born and raised in New Bedford, Massachusetts, as a high schooler, James was a National Merit Scholar and a member of the National Honor Society. He earned perfect 5’s on multiple AP exams and a perfect 800 on the SAT’s Math section. He went on to graduate magna cum laude from Boston University, where he further developed his passion for learning and education.

James believes that effective tutoring starts with understanding each student as an individual. He tailors his approach to each student’s learning style, strengths, and goals, breaking down complex problems into clear, manageable steps while emphasizing the reasoning behind each solution. His goal is not only to improve scores, but to help students build lasting confidence and independent problem-solving skills.

Outside of tutoring, James enjoys theatre, exploring new ideas through lifelong learning, and spending time with his dog, Amelia.
