About
Jarrett is an experienced tutor and current doctoral candidate in Audiology (AuD) at James Madison University. A graduate of Marquette University, he brings both strong academic credentials and a deep understanding of student learning to his work.
Jarrett’s academic achievements began early. In high school, he was recognized as a National Merit Scholar and AP Scholar with Distinction. He earned perfect scores of 5 on the AP U.S. History, AP European History, AP World History, and AP English Literature and Composition exams, and graduated with an Honors Regents Diploma. Jarrett also has a strong foundation in math, earning As in both Calculus and Statistics during his undergraduate studies. He particularly enjoys algebra for its structure and the strategic thinking it requires, and he brings this same strategic approach when helping students prep for the SAT and ACT math sections.
His teaching experience includes a year as an Academic Support teacher at the high school level, where he helped students strengthen foundational skills and build confidence in their coursework. While at Marquette, Jarrett also spent over three years tutoring fellow undergraduates in Psychology and Speech Pathology & Audiology, further honing his ability to explain complex material clearly.
Jarrett is known for his patience, organization, and adaptability. He excels at identifying the root of a student’s academic challenges and tailoring his approach to support meaningful progress. Students and families consistently appreciate his thoughtful, personalized guidance.
