About

Jon holds one master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and another from New York University. In addition, he received his bachelor’s degree at Case Western Reserve University, where he graduated magna cum laude.

Jon served as one of his university’s top academic tutors, specializing in introductory chemistry, organic chemistry, physics, and calculus. Since then, he has continued helping students of all ages (from middle-school students to university graduates) prepare for several different standardized tests, including the SAT, ACT, PSAT, GRE, and MCAT. He has also tutored for science-specific and math-specific exams, including Advanced Placement (AP) Exams, International Baccalaureate (IB) Exams, and A-Levels.

Jon firmly believes that every student can achieve top marks on any test with the right amount of effort applied in the right direction. He goes beyond rote learning and teaches creative problem-solving as a method for better understanding of any material. In addition, he highlights how each piece of academic content directly ties to the exam, so students always see how obscure concepts are tested.

Jon’s writing has been recognized by the American Society of Magazine Editors. His work has been featured on ABCNews.com, Scientific American, and Popular Mechanics. He has also been recognized for his scientific efforts by the Neuro-engineering Training Initiative and the Grammy Research Foundation.
