Luna
About
As a graduate of Western Governors University and a current master’s student at the University of Michigan, Luna is a passionate educator and lifelong learner.
In high school, Luna earned a 2310 on the SAT and 5s on the tests for AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, and AP Computer Science. She was recognized as an AP Scholar and was a National Honor Society member, Siemens Competition semifinalist, and Math Olympiad participant with top AMC, AIME, and USAMTS scores.
Since high school, Luna has done many research projects in the following areas of Computer Science: Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Machine Learning, and Computer Vision. She got some of first teaching experience as a T.A. at Cornell, before going on to work as a private tutor. As an educator, Luna believes in the power of patience, empathy, and positivity to help students grow, and she brings that energy to every tutoring session. Her positive mindset helps her and her students stay motivated and see challenges as opportunities to grow.
Outside of tutoring, Luna loves Korean barbecue and bubble tea. She also enjoys traveling and playing board/computer games with friends.
Noteworthy Accomplishments
- In high school, Luna earned perfect scores on the Writing and Math sections of the SAT.
- Luna’s SAT students have improved their scores by as much as 400 points.

- Luna is a big fan of K-pop and K-dramas.
