Nate
About
With 15 years of experience, Nate combines extensive expertise with a personable teaching style that consistently delivers exceptional results. Educated at SUNY Brockport, where he was a Departmental Scholar, graduating with Magna Cum Laude honors in Spanish, French, and Education, and holding an M.A. in Linguistics from the University of Rochester, Nate has honed his ability to help students master even the most challenging concepts.
Nate’s standardized test performance speaks to his mastery; he has achieved near-perfect scores on both the SAT and ACT. Nate has also registered a perfect GRE verbal score. As a high school student, Nate showcased his academic prowess, earning a perfect score of 100 on the Course 3 (Trigonometry) exam, in addition to the Italian and Spanish Regents exams without taking the corresponding courses, allowing him to skip from Italian 2 to Italian 4 and from Spanish 1 to Spanish 4. And he studied French and German, beginning in French 2 and in German 3. Nate was also Masterminds (think Jeopardy: the high-school version) League MVP. Building on his strong academic foundation, Nate went on to teach both Spanish and French at the high school and college level.
Nate’s contributions include creating SAT and ACT prep resources used by thousands of students and producing hundreds of hours of video tutorials praised for their clarity and insight. Nate is particularly skilled at helping students achieve substantial score improvements, as shown by some of his students’ recent results. These students had previously been struggling with SAT Math in particular, but after working with Nate saw increases of 610 to 700, 530 to 690, and 630 to 750.
Families consistently praise Nate’s approachability, teaching style, and ability to reduce stress while empowering students to achieve their academic goals. Whether helping a student gain admission to their dream school or boosting confidence in their test-taking abilities, Nate is dedicated to each student’s success.
