About
Ryan graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a major in chemical engineering—and while he was there, he got his first experience with tutoring, each night meeting online with his younger brother to coach him through highschool math.
From that experience, Ryan found a passion for education. His first job after college was as a STEM and SAT Math tutor, but he quickly became an expert in all sections of the SAT and ACT, and his students have achieved impressive score increases in all sections of the tests.
Parents value his thoughtful and insightful progress reports, while students appreciate his passion, patience, and ability to make complex topics easier to understand. Unlike the rigid structure of a traditional classroom, his adaptable and personalized approach keeps students engaged—even after a long school day. Time and again, they express how his lessons leave them feeling re-energized, more confident, and better equipped to tackle challenges ahead.
Noteworthy Accomplishments
- Ryan has helped students achieve perfect scores in both ACT English and Science.

- Ryan is a huge fan of board games, especially ones that emphasize strategy.
- Ryan loves learning new things—he’s taught himself to play the drums and the guitar, and is learning Japanese through Duolingo.
