About

Originally from New Jersey, Sophie graduated from the Honors College of Rutgers University–New Brunswick, where she majored in Linguistics with minors in English and French. She is passionate about education and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Applied Linguistics in French at Middlebury Language Schools.

As a high school student, Sophie scored a perfect 1600 on the SAT and earned 5s on eight AP exams: AP Calculus BC, AP Statistics, AP Chemistry, AP US History, AP World History, AP US Government, AP English Literature and Composition, and AP English Language and Composition. Her earliest tutoring experiences involved helping disadvantaged high schoolers in her area prep for the ACT and SAT, which ignited her passion for empowering students to reach their standardized testing goals and gain admission to their dream colleges. While at Rutgers, she also taught classes in peer review as an instructor for the university’s first undergraduate journal and tutored students across disciplines. Sophie is particularly passionate about equipping students with high-impact grammar and reading strategies to demystify tough passages.

In her spare time, Sophie enjoys reading, cooking, and spoiling her cat.
