About

Tessa’s teaching career began long before she had a classroom of her own. In fifth grade, she partnered with her principal to launch a peer tutoring program, and she later created another student-led tutoring initiative in high school.

Today, she is an experienced classroom teacher and test-prep tutor who combines subject expertise with a strong foundation in psychology. Tessa holds a B.S. in Psychology from Florida Atlantic University, a Cognitive Sciences certification from the University of Central Florida, and a Master’s in Psychology from Nova Southeastern University. As a student, she earned a 1560 on the SAT and multiple 5s on AP exams.

Tessa is especially passionate about helping students rewrite their academic narratives. Her students have achieved dramatic score gains, including an SAT verbal increase from 480 to 700 and a 10-point improvement on the ACT composite.

Whether she’s guiding students through complex science concepts or breaking down test strategies, Tessa blends structure, humor, and flexibility to meet students where they are—while building skills that last well beyond the exam.
