A recipient of a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology (minor in English Literature) from Texas A&M University and a Master’s of Education in Reading Education from Texas State University, Walter is a driven educator. Throughout his years as a teacher and instructional coach, Walter has been motivated by his students’ achievements and personal growth. In addition to his work as a test prep tutor, Walter has taught English II and AP English Language classes, managed after-school test prep tutoring programs, and coached English teachers.

As a high school student, Walter earned a 35 on his ACT, a 2190 on the SAT, and 5’s on the exams for AP English Language, AP English Literature, AP Spanish Language, AP Spanish Literature, AP Biology, and AP Calculus AB. He was also a National Hispanic Merit Scholar.

As a tutor and educator, he connects to his students as people first, engaging with them through shared interests, humor, and a conversational approach. All of this is in service of helping his students grow as learners and realize their potential.
