Jordan

Jordan graduated summa cum laude from Emerson College and earned his master’s degree from Columbia University. As a Fulbright scholar in Montenegro, he taught seven courses at the University of Montenegro. He has also taught writing, rhetoric, and literature at the college level. His own writing has won or been recognized as a finalist for several prizes, including the Evvy Award for Outstanding Nonfiction and the Henfield Prize for Fiction.

Jordan has taught test prep for more than a decade, working with students in New York public schools and across three continents. He has helped more than 80 students score 1500+ on the SAT and has himself earned a perfect 36 on the ACT and a perfect 1600 on the SAT multiple times. He still regularly takes both tests—not only to stay in practice, but also to better understand the experience his students face on test day. As one of a small, hand-selected team of ArborBridge Coaches, Jordan also helps students strengthen the executive functioning, test-taking foundations, and mindset strategies that support success both on and beyond standardized tests.

In addition to tutoring, Jordan serves as one of ArborBridge’s Instruction Managers—training and managing other tutors—and as a Senior Curriculum Associate. He has a decade of experience developing curriculum for all sections of the SAT, ACT, GRE, and GMAT. Ever since he was young, Jordan has been the weird one who actually enjoys standardized tests. For years, he’s been teaching students of every skill level and background how to like them too—or, at least, how to get the scores they need.
